The Internet has opened
up a new horizon for trade and commerce, namely electronic commerce
(e-commerce). E-commerce entails the use of the Internet in the marketing,
identification, payment and delivery of goods and services. This report
highlights the status, statutes, potential, and constraints and also finds out
how the Bangladeshi users of internet perceive E-Commerce.
At the end of the
report, we have given some recommendations based upon the analysis and findings
we have found while preparing this term paper
Both the statutory laws
as well as the challenges in implementing them are discussed. The report also
finds out the actual scenario of this sector.
For the purpose of the
analysis, we have segmented the E-business industry in Bangladesh into several
sectors and randomly took two websites from each sector for further analysis.
We have tried our best to give overview, value proposition, and SWOT analysis
of each of the websites we have picked. We also tried to identify any kind of
failure in the strategy development and strategy implementation of the each
websites and if possible we tried to give some recommendations that seemed
right to us. After each category analysis, we have gone for an overall
e-business analysis in Bangladesh which includes the current state, constraints
it is facing now, the future of it etc.
